So good to hear you're doing better. I find relaxed breathing really helps me calm down from a crave. You don't need to breath deeply, just regular breathing but fill the bottom of your lungs using your diaphragm to draw in the air. I find it works best if I close my eyes and just focus on the breathing. I also find it helps to imagine myself a year from now after not smoking. It just feels good to think about how good it's gonna feel. Keep up the fight. You can do this. Hey Beckylynn!! You're doing pretty well so far!! The Chantix WILL do it's job and minimize the cravings!!! You really do need to find various distractions to help you NOT think about craving!!! I, like many others here just spent time on here reading posts and learning how to deal with quitting this terrible addiction!!! Think of a topic you want to know more about and do a search on here and you will be amazed at how much information there is to distract you!!! :) Most importantly, you have got to remain positive in your thinking!! If you don't have the confidence in your ability to quit, you sort of have to keep telling yourself that you CAN do this and keep plugging along!!! NOT ONE PUFF EVER!!!!! Good for you girl ! Coming here to post for help is the best thing you can do .. and look at all of the responses :) Happy you are doing better ! I always found that doing some deep breathing exercises really helps me a lot. Also, going for a walk, breathing the air deeply into my lungs and thinking of something very pleasurable also helped too. Whenever you feel the need to vent, scream etc. always come here and people will show up to help you out. We've all been there .. and also, remember you are never alone :) You're doing so good girlfriend ! ! ! ! Way to Go, Girl...... Yes--If you get a strong crave --it is recommended you post & wait for 5 responses before smoking... Anyway--seems like you're on your way to making this stick. It really is a great way to live life.....free at last ;) Stay strong and focused on the prize--Deb My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 61 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,830 Amount Saved: $411.75 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 0 Mins: 9 Seconds: 33

I read somewhere that if you get a crave, then post and wait for 5 responses before you do anything drastic. Works for me!!!! I feel a whole lot better now the crave has passed and I feel like I am on even ground now. Although I do feel a little dizzy today, but I read that is normal. I just think of it as a little buzz and keep going. I just can not say it enough, all of you are great!!!!! thanks Beckylynn 3rd day and making it happen!!!!!
