i really believe that.
we live in a society that at times tries to squash the the idea of competition.
why? because they think in competition there must be a loser , and a loser might have low self esteem.
i believes that's an attitude that only creates an environment where losers never learn how to compete.
competition is cool.
it involves goal setting , stategy and execution of the two.
how does that apply to quitting smoking ? it's pretty obvious isn't it?
this is one of the toughest competitions you'll ever be in , it may be for finances , convenience , or your health.
whatever the reason , we need to win and who gives a damn if cigarettes have a low self esteem.
so we set our goals , we develop our srategy , and we don't waiver in our execution of the two.
is it easier said than done ? of course , so is cooking biscuits , but it's damn sure worth it !
the great old football coach tom landry said ;
"in competition everyone wants to win , the difference between winners and losers is , winners are willing to do what it takes to win"
and he continued "the success is built on doing what you don't want to do , and not doing what you want to do".
i've been around this board for almost two months now , there is plenty of information on goal setting , strategy , and execution of the same. and thank god this place is full of support ,role models and winners !
if you're an experienced quitter here , thanks for helping me , if you're new , get on my back and i'll help you fight this thing.
god bless you all.
