Alrighty, then! Was anticipating the Big Bad Wolf (thanks Lookingglass) around this milestone time..but nope, nada, no tidbits around to feed him. Got busy, had fun, loved my work, and walked on by it. I looooooove not smoking! Thanks for the bump Aloha. There is no single reason why some slip. Some more common factors related to slipping include: * Stress, Anger, Sadness, Alcohol and the thought, "I can have just one." If you're worried, the best thing you can do is plan ahead. Have your coping strategies and distractions close at hand. Also be sure to have a reward in place. Hope this helps. Bump for anyone who needs it I've been thinking about the association between reaching a no smoking milestone and renewed cravings. I experienced it on my eighth day and am a bit appprehensive about how i will react after reaching a month. I have noticed others going through similar experiences right around big milestones. I'm wondering if it is the association between celebrating and smoking, or letting our guard down after reaching a particularly meaningful milestone..or what???? anybody have any ideas on this? -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,192 Amount Saved: $197.2 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 27 Seconds: 59
