I have to leave for a while...

One more try I've made a couple posts almost identical to yours in the years gone by that I had been 'trying' to quit. Relapse is painful. No doubt about it. And exactly one of the reasons I will not quit quitting this time. It is so much easier to feel good about yourself by maintaining your quit than by 'banging your head against the wall' ...one more time. Take the time you need to really identify what it is your want and why. Then come back with positive, no more excuses name. We'll help you through every step of the way. Only one thing to remember....yep NOPE. Well, I have been where you seem to be, and it's no fun. Believe me when I say that this site and the wonderful people within will welcome you back when you are ready. First, I have to admit that I have relapsed. Again! For those of you who know me, I am embarrassed to admit that I have failed again. I honestly don't know how many times I have tried this. It simply is not working. I have many reasons, or I should say excuses. None of them justify lighting up. But, so be it. It is what it is. I am not looking for advise, motivation, or support right now. I have received so much from everyone here and I still have started smoking again. There were times when I was so confident I would have swore I'd never start again. I actually made it up to about three months...I think. But, then, something always happens and I lose it all. Christmas, vacation, a birthday...etc, etc. Like I said, I have many excuses. I would like to say thank you to the New Year No Nics, as I was a part of that group for a while. And before that, the Octobreathers. Sometimes I think of what my quit meter would look like if I stuck with it since October last year, when I was doing really good for a while. All I have to do is look at my buddies, Goofy and Sprquits. If you guys are reading this, THANK YOU so much for everything! I wish you both all the best. I don't know if you realize how much impact you had on my quit, but I have to tell you that you helped me the most. I am sad to let you know that I am smoking again. :( I may come back to re-visit the site, when I feel ready again. I may not. Right now I need to take a step back and re-evaluate. Your friend, Karen.
