Peace, first of all let me congratulate you for NOT buy those smokes. As tempting as it may seem, it's not worth it.
Mr. Jazz and I followed our patch program to a "t". We were on the 21 mg for 6 weeks, then the 14 mg for 2, then the 7 mg for 2. I know it's different for everyone, but it was strongly suggeseted that we not vary from it whatsoever. I'm not going to suggest it was simple to step down, but the cravings weren't as bad as I thought they would be. Maybe just those extra 2 weeks made a difference - I don't know.
I also picked up 1 extra box of 7 mg patches for emergency purposes. I know there will be a couple of huge triggers coming up shortly and I don't want to get caught off guard. I don't expect either of us will have to use them, but to me it's worth it if we can keep our quits through these times.
Hang on tight to your awesome 40 day quit. You've come so far!
