Robin, the real question is, not why did you do good for 3 months, but why do you slip at 3 months? That seems to be the issue for you. For a lot of us, what happens is that we get overconfident and say to ourselves, "OK, I've made it this far...I can now reward myself, or I can control it now, or I can have just one." Addicts like us can not have just one, as you have seen.
As Sue said, the secret is don't smoke....ever. It's the only way to quit.
