I'm physically tough, now I'm just going to get mentally tough

Hey all, I'm Kristi from Pittsburgh. I have been smoking since I turned 18, and I'm now 29. At the time when I started, it seemed like an "adult" thing to do to celebrate turning 18 (um, why oh why didn't I just vote or something?!). I'm a nationally ranked powerlifter, and smoking just doesn't help me get stronger. Plus, my husband is in Iraq, and I think this would be an incredible gift for him to come home to! I have tried quitting numerous times...cold turkey, nicotine lozenges, wellbutrine...and nothing seemed to stick. So, I sucked it up and paid the $115 for Chantix. I have the flu right now, and my doctor recommended I wait to start taking it until I feel better. So, I plan on starting to take the Chantix on Friday, April 4th with an official quit date of April 11th. Wish me luck!
