Ok, so I've saved an arm and a leg by no longer smoking. When I look at exactly how much I've saved I wish I had all of it in my grubby little hand. I don't. So I asked myself where did it all go?
Well first of all, I am not a wealthy woman and have lived on a very tight budget for most of my life....which means I was cutting corners in order to support my addiction.
Once I no longer had to cut those corners, suddenly I could afford better grocery shopping choices, and new clothes, and I could take a friend out for a treat.
Not only that, but my work situation was super tense and I was able to give myself several months off and live on my savings :)
I've now changed my work situation for the better and am happy as a clam....and I know for a fact that if I had not stopped smoking I would be stuck in that same terrible situation that was killing me - never mind what the smokes were doing to me on top of everything else.
So, where are my savings now? Building up, slowly but surely my bank account is recovering and I feel like a million bucks!
By taking time off, I invested in myself and that is what the quit is all about - investing in myself.
Thanks all, for letting me ramble on a bit ;)
