Hey ICL
I went thru the same depressed feeling about 30 days into the quit. I was feeling awful, I knew that I was not going to start smoking again, but I guess I just missed it. Anyway...I decided to listen to these great people around here and take their advice. The one idea was to treat myself...give myself a reward for being a NON smoker. I began to do just little things for myself on milestone days, take an extra walk, go have my nails done, whatever...and sometimes, when I was especialy down, I gave myself a treat, even if it was not a milestone day!
(One day, I went out by myself for an ice cream cone, oh sinful!)
It does not have to be anything big, just some little something that you normally would not do for yourself. I found that looking forward to those things and the time I spent thinking of exactly what I would want for a treat, kept my mind off the Nicodemon and turned it into a positive thing. I hope this helps...hang in there, we know you can do it!
