Anyone use the gum?

17 years ago 0 591 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Well, I just have one question though.. did you slip? Because if you have already gone 7 days without any nicotine, then the nicotine is already completely out of your system, and I wouldn't recomend putting it back! If you're using another NRT - then I think you should stick with that and see it through until the end, and not add a second one. Chew regular sugar free gum, and cinnemon sticks, and straws, and whatever else for the hand-to-mouth satirsfaction. It's so good to see you here Kristilou. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 610 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 45,750 Amount Saved: $11,437.50 Life Gained: Days: 54 Hrs: 9 Mins: 49 Seconds: 59

Hey Kristi I did use the Nico_____ gum. It does work amazingly well, or did for me. I only used it a few times. I used it before i left work cause those after work cigarettes used to be one of my favourites, so i would have a piece before i left and the craving for a cigarette would be gone. I didn't want to spend the money, but you know what...we spent A LOT more on cigarettes, just check out the quit meters! I was quite amazed at it's ability to make the cravings go away. You can buy it in the 2mg or 4mg, read the instructions on how to chew it properly. Good Luck! Hi Kristilu: Glad to see you hanging in there. I use the Thrive gum - it tastes better and lasts longer than Nicorette, and doesn't give me hiccups like nicorette does. I am also finding it very helpful in assisting getting over the craves, without lighting up. I find that even when dealing with the craves them selves (not the ones that are fleeting, but the ones that are hanging in and won't go away in 5 minutes) I am still using less gum than is allowed each day.I have acknowledged to myself that I really want the nicotine stimulant, but not the rest of the junk and smell one gets with smoking. The background to this decision is in my "Fallen Warrior" and "Pheonix Rising" posts, and as noted, I will deal with the nicodemon later. Hope this helps, MJ My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/7/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 250 Amount Saved: $110.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 34 Seconds: 51

Hey peoples! I'm just wondering what your experience has been with the NRT gum??? I'm just wanting something that will get me thru those "moments", but don't want to spend the money if it doesn't work.
