Gratitude Attitude

Number 5.: The memory of all the evenings and nights my beautiful Himalayan, Lola, spent draped around the back of my neck... two old f**ts snoozing in front of the telly...she lived 'till she was 15 years old. I love this! Thank you Misti (and Oprah) for bringing these wonderful thoughts to the forefront. I am grateful for; Me, Gwen, for believing in myself and knowing that I could quit for good My husband, for being there during my smoking years, during my healing months and still wanting to be with me during my smoke free years (forever) My son who reminds me everyday of how proud he is of me. He also gives me many reasons to be proud of him everyday. My 2 guilty pleasures, Remy & Crack, my dogs. Just the thought of them brings a smile to my face. The SSC and the wonderful people here. The never ending support, knowledge and laughs that can be found here in these threads. and honorable mention, the UPS delivery guy who is looking quite nice in his brown shorts but, also has been a constant at delivering my rewards :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 226 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,780 Amount Saved: $1,084.80 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 7 Mins: 25 Seconds: 49

This is a great reminder. I also got it from Oprah :) That year I got journals for my friends and enclosed a note to tell them to write 5 things they are grateful for each night before the go to bed. It worked for a while. I sometimes pull mine out and read it and to start again. I am grateful for so many things. 1. A husband and friends who love me when I can't 2. Mr. Kitty 3. That I can see my cup half full instead of half empty 4. I have legs to walk on. 5. For Misty and her reminder to be grateful. You see you can get started and then sometime it is hard to start. Just remember a heart filled with gratitude can not have room for self pity or sadness. for my daughter and our healing relationship for my little flat - i've been homeless in the past for my marvellous supportive friends for my tremendous physical health (my disability is bipolar disorder) for my other quits, cigarettes are the last to go for living in a welfare state where someone with bipolar can live an ok life for my quitbuddies here, i couldn't make it without ye My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 58 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,160 Amount Saved: 432.10 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 14 Mins: 59 Seconds: 58
