We started going to a counselor. Things were going well only made it twice. Then she suddenly flipped on me. I thinik maybe she doesnt want to accept the obvious yet objective awnsers from the therapist who is basically telling her family comes first before her mom. I just think the whole thing is horrible for the little guy. His real father ran out and has never visted him or paid ****. Ive been his dad for 5 years and suddenly im kicked out. At least I have resonsability and paid my share of the mortgage even though im not living there. I just think its bad for the little guy to have to be subjected to such harsh change.

OH I am so sorry for your situations.. Yes you have 167 days.. I'M glad you came here and posted. Is there any possibility of counseling? Couples, family or even just youself. sending prayers and hugs your way. Don't forget when we feel like a door is closing.. look for the window.... my hear goes out to you. of course you are somewhat depressed anyone would be in the circumstances. but smoking is the one thing in this situation that you can 100% control. yes you're wife may end it for good and maybe there's nothing you can do. that's awful for you. but however bad you feel it's always possible to feel a little bit worse and if you smoke and lose your quit i bet you'd feel rather more than a little bit worse. this too shall pass. sunny days will come again. it doesn't feel like it right now so you'll have to believe me. i hope with all my heart you don't lose your job and that you get plenty of time with your son. i'll be thinking of you. talk tomorrow elaine My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 58 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,160 Amount Saved: 432.10 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 15 Mins: 0 Seconds: 39

Hey Jon, Wow. I don't even know how to address the pain and loss your dealing with right now. I've never been where you are, so can't honestly say, "I know how you feel." It would be a lie if I did. I can't say what i would do in your situation. Maybe someone wiser than I will show up soon and say something that might help you. Until then....I'll be praying for you and your family. If I can help you in any way, please let me know. Not literally but its my basic attitude as of late. My wife has decided she isn't happy. After just over a year of worshipping the woman and devoting my life to her and her (my step) son she's decided she's not happy. I have been forced to leave the house. I miss my son so much and shes told me he misses me and asks for me. Everything is really being controlled by her mother whose controlled her her whole life. (Long story) At the same time I found out the owner of the music store I work/ teach at has secrectly sold the business and I will most likely be out of a job sometime soon. I have been very tempted to smoke but know it will only make me more depressed. It got me thinking if some reason for smoking is depression, like a socially acceptable method of slow suicide for some. Thats my reasoning for not caring and wanting to start. But I know I've worked too hard to give up now. This is the time when I really prove that I can loose my wife, my son, my house and my job but I won't give in.
