has anyone ever had a therapist that doesn't fit their personality?

I've also had two weird therapists. I only went to them for a few sessions before i decided that they were more in need of counselling than me!! I think its really important to talk about this sort of stuff with someone who does understand and someone who you are comfortable with. I had one therapist who I really looked forward to seeing because she always brought humour into the sessions and that I believe was one of the most important things and one of the things that helped me to deal with all of this stuff!

LOL yep I had one one time tell me I should just go home and throw myself into my housework and get my mind off things - ROFL what a sexist pig!

i recently got a new therapist and she doesn't really get me. i'm funny and like to deal with things with occasional humor once in a while. she doesn't respond and makes me feel bad. its all to serious every second... sometimes i need a break with compassion or a joke, not just facts. anyone else ever felt this? katie
