Problems when waking up

19 years ago 0 56 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I wake up with tingling feelings all over and a sore jaw from clenching my teeth but not nausea. I do get nausea sometimes when in big crowds or at church or other anxious times. In fact, I can remember in 6th grade I got sick in class and every day thereafter in the same class at the exact same time I felt like I was going to be sick again but never did. Do you think it is the same concept? That you might have programmed your mind accidentally to feel this way each a.m.?

Every morning ... without fail. I have a nauseaus/nervous feeling. I work at home and have nothing to fear so it's not like I'm anticipating anything!! It started last Monday after I had another attack .. P

hi. this is a very common anxiety thing and I want to recommend a book called self help for your nerves by claire weekes which has a whole chapter dedicated to the waking up feeling. I too have the same feelings and have done for a long time, but find if I emerse myself in something it helps. Evenings are definately the best times for most of us who suffer from anxiety, but try and read the book it explains to some degree at least why, and much better that I could explain why.

did the celexa make you nervous?

For the past year, I've been experiencing waking up in a full panic. Just coming to consciousness, I feel the waves of anxiety build, it doesn't matter what time it is, or what my life is like. Anything I think about first will cause panic. It's a terrible way to wake up every day, and I feel despairing about it. I just started Celexa, any feedback re medications that might help?

I used to feel that way about meds as well, but then decided.. if there is something out there that will increase my quality of living... why not? And since being on Celexa, I haven't had any problems, I am less irritated.. just plain happier. I feel like my self again.

Nope, I'm gonna see my doctor this week for the first time. But I wanna avoid meds as much as possible.

Yes, it's due to the anxiety, at least it was for me.... I know what you mean.. it doesn't make sense... the nausea is what would wake me up in the morning. Are you taking meds?

Thanks Corrina. Do you know if this is due to anxiety or something else? I think it's just anxiety, but it's weird cause I feel it as SOON as I wake up...and how could that be if I was sleeping and had no time to get nervous yet? Weird stuff. But this always happens for a few weeks after I have a panic attack.
