Yeah, I was all over the place the first two months (and maybe part of month three ). I just had no real handle on my emotions - I think I was seeing a lot of them for the first time in years! It did get better though and you'll even out in time. Maybe you can make one of your next rewards a couple reward. He's probably earned a bit of a treat for nearly 50 Days of this wild ride! Den, I thought I coping too until I got sent home from work for 3 days. I really did. Give yourself a break and some understanding, you are doing a really difficult and worthwhile thing. thanks for your feedback. i usually don't realize that i am going to say something mean till it is out. So i guess i have to put it at the forefront of my mind and remember to think before i speak. I only seem to be treating my boyfriend like this and no one else. I am my usual self at work etc. I feel bad for being this way and don't really have an excuse for it. I think my "i quit smoking" excuse is wearing thin. den, This can be normal and may occur at different stages of the quit. Concentrate on you and reward and relax yourself. Take a deep breath and count to 10 before speaking negatively Think about what you are going to say Do something nice for someone else. Reward your 50 days! Josie, Health Educator

I have always been "crabby", so I don't think its any worse now than it was before. Teary, now thats another story. I was really bad the first month, now its a couple days a week only, little things that make me cry that are, well, not really worthy of crying over. I am no expert on anything and am not giving advise, but I think this is really normal from what I have read. I have always viewed you as a very strong person, very positive...so maybe you have a good reason to be crabby lately..who knows!! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,430 Amount Saved: $303.75 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 15 Mins: 37 Seconds: 52

I have been told (by my boyfriend), on quite a few occasions, i may add, that i am crabby. I know this. During week one, i was just plain angry, mad and an emotional mess. I am on Day 50 today. I still notice that i tear up easy. I do have a short fuse and tend to be "mean". I don't like any of these emotions and i am usually not like this. Could this be from quitting. If so, will they go? Help, please!
