I go on Monday, 25 Feb. I am so with you! I will be behind you, watching your back. Yeah, I'm way late and looser for blowing it before, but I can take care of myself and watch your back. Keep in touch == I'm your new best friend. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/25/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 47 Seconds: 19

Hi LLL, I'm newbie enough to remember hell week distinctly, and I'll agree that a lot of it sucked. But it does get better, quickly. What helped me enormously was spending as much time as I possibly could on this site - reading and posting to the fora here, and using all the tools and resources available. One piece of advice which is, I think, very important is that, if the urge to smoke becomes unbearable, POST HERE FIRST. You won't have to wait long before you get a whole host of helpful, supportive responses. Good luck, and keep the quit! LLL Hi...........I remember you from when i first joined this group back in November. It doesn't make any sense at all to want to do something you want to quit. But that just goes to show just how addictive cigs are. I remember having that thought myself sometimes. It is good that you are back on the horse. I don't have any magic answers for you but will be happy to share a shoulder, or a laugh, or any thing else you may need to get this done. Remember that a lot of us here really do care. HI LL.. you're doing great day 4 ... the nicotine is about out of your system and the "junkie" wants back in. Cold water ice chips. I have "tried" to quit many times. This time I went in with the attitude of I am quitting. Use the program and tools. little rewards for not picking one up..getting thru the urge.. When you have the urge come here FIRST , post read.. distract yourself in some way. Say well if I still want it this bad in 5 or 10 minutes.... by then it will have gone away. With the "program" yu can figure out yuor triggers.. knowing what triggers the urge will help you fight it much better. I know now, to eat smaller amounts more often. When I get hungry or tired.. those are my worst triggers. I have some small pieces of chocolate.. like hershey kisses ... one is my reward but dont just gobble it.. make it melt and last... Thanks DL, I think that moment is gone. Thanks goodness. That was the worst craving I have had since this quit. But I staed on this site my entire break (at work) and I feel better now. Thanks again for being there.
