Hunger & Quitting

I did the same as you, LLP. I figured that if I could stop smoking in January, then losing a couple of pounds in February would be a walk in the park. Last week I started making an effort - Monday to Thursday are detox days (no meat, dairy products, coffee, alcohol etc. etc.), and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are regular food-combining diet days (where I also allow myself wine if I feel like it - well, life's short, isn't it?). I also buy a huge selection of fruit on the way into work every day, and snack on that whenever I feel hungry. I don't seem to have lost a lot of weight yet, but I feel great. Early in my quit I made a conscious decision not to worry too much about weight gain. I decided it was best for me to focus on one thing at a time. Consequently, even though I'm not sure I really ate any more, I did gain a few extra pounds. I'm wondering, though, if I ate differently. Now that I am a bit more comfortable in my quit it's time for me to shift focus to losing them. I'm seeing lots of soups, salads & walking in my future. :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,760 Amount Saved: $621.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 18 Mins: 36 Seconds: 27
