Hi Aloha,
Super big hugs to you. I miss you guys a lot. You are never really out of my mind. Do you remember all our conversations on the SSC IM? Its partly your directness that got me through and personally I wouldn't change you for the world.
Thanks for asking the all important question. When someone goes away for time I always wonder whether they went back to smoking. Truth be told, I am still at this non smoking thing but finding it very hard and I have a feeling I won't last much longer. But I am still at it, 254 days or something and not a single cigarette has passed my lips.
The work thing..well it consumes my energy at the moment. You see I am doing the work of 4 people at the moment. When people leave, nobody takes their place but the work doesn't go away, it just gets handed down. Whats left is a skeleton staff and when they go on holiday or have babies...Ok, I don't bregrudge anybody having time off. Its my fault for being mr reliable who cuts his holidays short to help out. I do however, fear for my chances of being smokefree by the time everyone comes back.
If and when I do smoke though. I won't be scared. I could never lie to you or anybody here. I am really glad you are accepting that not everybody has what it takes to be a non smoker for the rest of their lives. Reading the HoF I know we have some really determined people here. Some may even be able to pick themselves up and give it an even longer go next time. I am not so sure I can. I keep telling myself this is my last ever quit and therefore should make the absolute most of it I can.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know you are always in my thoughts and in my heart. I hope for a quiet period when I can write like I used to.
HUGS from Kev
