When your child falls off a bike, the best thing to do is get them back up on that bike again as soon as possible. The longer you wait the more anxiety-provoking it becomes.
You have proven that you CAN quit - you lived a smoke-free life for a month & a half. So, you know you CAN do it.
Personally I think it's best to keep it real by re-setting your meter. But that's up to you. The important thing is that you don't smoke!!!
