That does happen. It seems that a lot of people come to a certain point and all of a sudden, here comes that old monster again. As with all of this, it probably best to remember that anything you go through along the way is temporary in nature. Use the tools that you have found successful to this point and I am sure this to shall pass...Never forget that THIS CAN BE DONE and that you can do it... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 395 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,850 Amount Saved: $4,147.50 Life Gained: Days: 73 Hrs: 14 Mins: 55 Seconds: 26

Tomaz, Welcome and congrats on 4 weeks! Try preparing for those craves and situations that will tempt you. Always have coping mechanisms ( water, gum, chew stick) on hand to help you get by. Start looking at you intake and what you put in your mouth. Pre-plan for the week and have good snacks ready for the taking. Your body is continuously healing and it will take time :) Josie, Health Educator

You may also be suffering from the 30 day cravings. Search around the site, there are several of us folks who went through the same thing. So people didn't... You have 4 weeks down! You can do this, just keep going. It will get better! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 380 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,700 Amount Saved: $1,596.00 Life Gained: Days: 36 Hrs: 3 Mins: 32 Seconds: 31

I've been off the patch since December 29th and have not had the gum since Jan 1. After that point it was pretty easy until recently. I didn't expect strong cravings, yet, I get them and I feel like I should be past that.. I mean, three straight days of it? Geez.

Tomaz, I did the patch, gum & quit too early...... But, you are right if you can get past the next 24 to 48 hours you will be home free. Did you just get off the patch?? Hi folks, thanks for helping me get to this stage. I started my quit by going on the patch... for two days... then to nic gum for 3 days... piece of cake... or so I thought. Now here I am 4 weeks in and coming off of the three worst days of the whole shot. I feel no better, I eat like a pig and have gained 10 pounds. I drank a lake of water and spent half of my time going to the washroom. I'm uncomfortable all the time. Productivity at work has gone through the floor. I'm not having desires to smoke, I'm having full blown cravings... and I'm 4 weeks into this!! I can ease my pain with nic gum or a patch, but I don't want to be addicted again... yet. I'm still pretty determined to not smoke, but holy crap, what's with the cravings!! It's really discouraging.
