Merlin Welcome to the site and thank you for making the decision to quit. I know from experience that it is not done without the usual amount of fear and trepidation. However, I promise you that it is a decision that will never be tinged with regret. The light headed sensations are a bit off putting, but it is good to remember that it is a physical manifestation of the change that is already taking place in your body. I walked around like a bobble head doll for weeks and after awhile just accepted that that was what must be for the moment. It will not last to long. Yes indeed post here as often as possible, if you are like me the act of submitting your ideas and observation is serves at once as a distraction and secondly is benefitial in itself... Merlin - Your meter looks great! Just look - you've said NO! to 40 smokes already...see, you can do it! And I agree, it's scary to realize that you're detoxing all of the poisons from cigarettes. It is so disturbing to every bodily function - digestion, sleep, energy, senses, concentration, etc. What's even scarier is to think that we use to let all of that poison stay in our bodies & kept refueling it! YIKES. Keep it up all of your hard work. IT IS WORTH IT. YOU ARE WORTH IT. Thanks for such a warm welcome. :). I have switched my meter on, and as you can see am 3 days in. I have a chest infection and finally listened to my body (wife, son and Dr!), got some patches and am quit. (I nearly put a few qualifying words in there: maybe/trying to etc.) I really hate this lightheaded feeling I have in my head and tingly fingers. And I hate the idea that im detoxing poisin gas. I really like the idea of posting if I am going to smoke. Thanks all. Means a lot. Hope we can help each other.
