I had mylast puff about noon on Sunday.. I have had some mild cravings...none really terrible. I had one today.. and I said you to myself .. you have NOT put any nicotine in your body for 4 days.. what r u nuts.. why even think about this. You are a NON smoker NOW! I had lunch with a friend today (all resturants here have been non-smoking for quite awhile) but I didn't even think about lighting up after.. WOW that is amazing.. Glad you are doing ok. Last night I got pretty nauseaus after the evening dose. Tonight I ate my full meal.. waited about 10 or 15 minutes then took the evening dose.. No nausea. Good on cutting back. I set a number of cigarettes for each day.. and some of the days I didn't even smoke the number I had decided to allow. Remember ...we use stress as an excuse to light up.. so try to figure out if stress happens.. how u r going to handle it. Stresss had ALWAYS been my excuse in the past to .. start smoking during a quit. We will always have stress in our lives..now we have to find and enforce new coping techniques. Keep up the good work.. you quit day is close. Just had 5 and final for the day. I feel great again like I did when I was doing this a few weeks ago. I'm on my way and I know it will happen when it's supposed to. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Definitely makes a difference not having any special stresses going on at the moment. I love this site and all you people that help me feel good about this. Thanks so much Terry

Hi Terry. Just so you know I probably stayed smoking longer than I should have. It is a week out that your date should be right? I think I went two weeks. Yes if you look at my quit date it is 1/16 and I started taking it on 1/1. I needed someone to tell me how to start to work with the Chantix and I was told to cut back more and more each day (this after a week). If it doesn't taste any different for you than that is fine. Everybody is different. But you should be finding it easier to not smoke all the times you used to and forego more and more per day. Again you are doing great :) Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 394 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,880 Amount Saved: $1,103.20 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 11 Mins: 34 Seconds: 52

Wow it's 2PM and I've only had 2 so far today. It's been 4 hours and I'm just getting a bit of craving so I'm writing and hoping to put it off a little longer.

Hi Terry, Yes I found by day 3 I had cut way back.. even less than I had planned. Monday the 11th was my quit day.. Sunday morning I had a few puffs, put it out. lit it about noon. put it out. I have found eating and a ful glass of water help.. I am still getting a little nausea.. sitting still and a cup of tea.. or iced tea helps. It goes away fairly quickly. I have found a couple triggers..so am more aware now.. and have some lifesavers or something handy. I was helping at my husbands business today.. and I got really hungry and then a pretty good "urge" kicked in.. I grabbed a life saver.. (I knew lunch was on the way) as soon as I ate a few bites I was OK. Keep track of your "triggers" and have something ready to BATTLE with.. weapons ready...........I pictured myself knocking the head off the "nicodemon" with a baseball bat.
