Hi Dutch,
I am 100 percent with you on being positive in my own life. It's unfortunate that a lot of the really positive posts here are deleted or moved out of areas that are normally not so optimistic... I read and respond now to positive posts, almost exclusively, whenever I have time. That's the beauty of SSC though, we can take what we want and leave the rest. I hope the few things I do post will have a small influence on someone who is struggling and I also bump occasionally to try to pay it forward.
Although I have always been fairly optimistic, I started really thinking positive just a few weeks before I started my quit. I dont for one second believe all this was any accident. I had help from somewhere when I chose to be positive while alone in the darkest hour of night, unable to breathe and feeling helpless and afraid. Within hours my life had started to improve.
I began formulating a plan on how to make the changes needed to become the person I was meant to be. Within weeks my life had changed into a very positive direction and my plans were getting detailed and being put into action. Now, just a few short months later my plans have been implemented and my entire life is dramatically different. I am so much happier than I ever thought I would be. There is no limit to the joy I can see in my future now. I live, I laugh, and I love in complete freedom.
Ive finally found and used the keys to the knowledge I needed to replace my fears and set myself free from not just my addiction to nicotine, but to all that was negative in my life. Its still a work in progress, but I am happy and at peace with myself. My quit has been joyful, not a hardship. I will never smoke again because I choose not to.
Luv to all,
Pat
:)
