To the best of my knowledge the lungs do not regenerate.I contracted T.B.when I was a kid but my immune system fought it off.I was'nt even aware that I had T.B. until the company I was working for had all the employees tested and they discovered that I had dark spots on my lungs.I'm supposed to be tested every year for cancer of the lungs but I don't  I could be wrong but I think once damaged their damaged .On the positive side I believe that the lungs are very capable of functioning normally once they have disposed of the tar that has accumulated when we quit smoking.
Just one of the girls. :)
Are'nt I a bright star smoking with spots on my lungs the truth of the matter I had long forgotten about them. :8|:

actually, those were the pics i was thinking about, anna and kelly. i wish i could believe that, but i can't. i know that i've done permanent damage to my lungs, i just wonder if they come back at all. When dr oz was talking about it i couldn't hear what he said about any regeneration. did anyone else hear what he said?
and the lack of rewards in that "other" program still tells me that we here have what it takes to run a successful program

Hey girls, the relaxation bit on the web site was good. It takes 10 minutes but I thought it worked and will use it again. Breath in relaxation breath out stress.

I hate to say it, Anna, but I think that is false. Today, we learned that once Emphezyma takes hold it can't be repaired. Also, I remember way back in the day hearing that it takes about seven years for a persons lungs to heal from smoking (if disease hasn't set in). That picure could be true for someone who barely smoked but I think that may be the only case where it's true. It would be good to know for sure!

I thought so too, Aloha. There wasn't anyone there to represent what success is or to explain getting past the challenges. I think that was an error on their part. Even though, it was really good overall, I think.
About the lungs... I was thinking while I was watching all of that how I should really get some testing done myself. I think I don't because I'm afraid to know. Yeah, that's pretty dumb. True nonetheless.

yeah, some good stuff. But, no water..and no rewards. I wish he'd talked more about or shown what a former smoker's lungs look like. I'm still looking for that info.

It was a good show. Yes, definitely like the quit program here. If you go to her site you can get the four step program, etc. I recommend anyone who is on the fence or having a hard time check it out.
I was waiting to see if anyone recommend water to counter cravings...nope. Not even a hint. Just in case you haven't heard it before and are experiencing cravings...ice cold WATER works wonders! I know, but it's true. ;)
