Unhooked, it's late for you! I'm sure Mister Ed will accept any quitters' quit dates for inclusion, in this thread. As for the quit meter issue, I think that is an SSC issue for the Mods, not our reliable statistical horse! Best Wishes Penitent d1334 :)

Mr. Ed, where would I post my quit date if I were a newbie? In this thread? What if I don't know how to start my quit meter? Lots of newbies don't. Speaking of which, please adjust my quit date to May 14/07, to allow for my stupid slip. Thanks. We love you. WHO ARE YOU? I am Mister Ed. I am a Quitter - I do not work for the SSC HOW DOES IT WORK? I keep a database of all quitters. From this database, I run a program to produce Daily Lists of Quitters who are celebrating weeks' or months' quits etc. In this way, everybody can see you are celebrating and hopefully somebody will start a post on your behalf, eg 'MR ED has 3 weeks' At the weekend, I produce 2 extra lists; one shows ALL Quitters in Alphabetical order, the other ALL quitters in 'length of quit order' HOW DO YOU KNOW IF SOMEBODY HAS LAPSED? That's a problem. I rely on people to tell me. What I plan to do, starting this weekend, is start a 'MISSING PERSONS' list. The idea is that I will remove you from the Main list unless I recognize you as a quitter who shows up here at least once in a while, or if you tell me that you are still 'active'. If I get it wrong, you only have to let me know and I'll reinstate you! HOW DO I GET TO KNOW ABOUT NEW QUITTERS? Again, unless I read every single post, I don't know. If you are new here PLEASE let me know simply by posting your quit date (it's on your Quit Meter). I will then add you to the Main list. WHAT DO YOU I HOPE TO ACHIEVE? A more accurate list of ACTIVE quitters! Thank you PENITENT for suggesting this.. Please help me to do this, young and old here!
