Momto6, Congratulations on making the decision to quit! You are not too weak, you most definitely can quit! Welcome to our support community. Our members are always around for great support and advice (as you can see). We also encourage you to start working on through the program. If the computer is a trigger, try changing around your computer room, or better yet make the whole house non-smoking territory. Keep us posted! Stay strong. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist

hey Tina, try to remove the nicotine for at least 3 days, that will help with the craves and after 10 you will be much better mentally. So no more drags okay? Give yourself a fighting chance. Rewards play a big part in this, even if it is something small, so make sure you do that. Spend as much time as you can (I see you are a Mom of 6! wow) reading here, it truly helps. Get some healthy snacks, and water and try to add some exercise, like walking if you can. Stay strong and holler if you need us. Just don't smoke. Hi Tina, and welcome to the SSC. Aloha knows what she is talking about. I don't believe that anyone is too weak to quit. I think that it's just a fear of not knowing what to expect. We're addicted to nicotine, and there are bound to be cravings. If you post before you smoke, you'll be fine. Remember that although you are doing this for yourself and your family, the number one reason is create a healthier, and happier you. Hang in there. Hi mom, Good for you for giving this gift to yourself and your family. I highly recommend the quit tools here. You can download the program workbook and do it away from the computer. Also, others have moved things around their computer so they can remain online. Drink plenty of water, pamper yourself, reward yourself, and know that it does get easier. We're here if you need help. Hi everyone I am new here and am here because I wish to quit smoking. Aside from the cost, my reason was due to health. I have asthma, I can no longer go upstairs to tuck my little girls in at night. While I realize that my asthma will not be cured, I do know that in time, my lungs and health will slowly improve. I quit smoking on Jan. 1 2008, but had a minor slip up, I took a couple of drags off my hubby's cigarette. I feel quilty. Am I to weak to quit? I am using the Thrive chewing gum. I am here for support from others trying to quit. Have to go for now, the computer and smoking go hand in hand. Thanks in advance Tina My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25 Amount Saved: $6.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 30 Seconds: 8
