Hi all,
Finally got chance to start that new thread. Several days later than normal. Its been a bit hectic down here work wise and of course christmas wise. This is a year of many firsts. It is Grace's first christmas. My first christmas in 15 years not constantly popping out for a smoke...If I don't actually go to the pub as is traditional and do what I normally do which is get bladdered and smoke loads of cigarettes whilst drunkenly trying to work out if that flashing thing means I got the jackpot.
If I manage not to do that then I will also have my first christmas in a long time whereby I spend the morning talking to mr toilet bowl whilst regretting having that 26th double jd and coke! :)
Just like many others, christmas was a time for chain smoking and avoiding the family arguments whilst being kept awake with the cold air. This christmas could be different.
Christmas is a time of giving and I would like to give big thanks to all that have helped me to get to somewhere I never thought I would ever get. It is a monumental task.
My mum would like to thank Sue, Unhooked, Phil, Penitent, Tresa and Lizzie for just being there for me during my darkest hours. I talk with massive pride about you, actually everyone here. My mum knows how fragile my quit is and realises why I have a big place in my heart for you.
I have been trying to keep myself occupied by playing strategy games that require a lot of 'caring' for. So far, so good. I hope everyone manages to find something new this christmas.
Seasons Greetings to everyone I have met here and those I have yet to have the chance to meet.
Lots of Love
from
