A belated trigger found me yesterday as I was painting the kitchen. The trigger was painting of all things. I think the paint fumes were the trigger. Self said to myself, wouldnt it be nice to have a smoke break. I spent two hours taping off the cabinets, baseboards, and tile and three hours painting. When I completed painting, I realized that the paint was way too dark. That was a bummer realization so I bought a lighter shade this morning and repainted. I painted without a drop cloth, first time for me. I was being brave, really lazy that is. No spills or drops, only I marred the vinyl floor by pulling out the refrigerator.
It is rare when trying to beautify something that something else does not pay the price. This has to be one of Murphys Law. Btw, no trigger painting this morning, the shade of the paint looks good now. Now can vinyl flooring be patched and hold up.
