Hi Ayla, Pretty name. You are in the right place. Get your tool box ready and I will get ready to join you on a real adventure. Quitting smoking is the most rewarding thing. We all know nothing is free. Hard work and understanding the addiction will get you through. I look forward to watching you grow. Welcome Ayla. Put your seat belt on you going to go on a ride of your life. ;) You will find lots of support here, you only have to ask. There may be some things you will want to have in place when you quit. Drinking water will help take the edge off, some sugar free candy, straws cut down to size or stir sticks to chew on, a plan of distraction when a crave hits you and they will (sorry) and a journal to keep track of your thoughts and your trip to success. Read the post here and do searches for situations that you may feel you are dealing with. Quitting can be done, but is sure is a lot easier with friends here on SSC. Welcome, Ayla! Congrats on your decision to quit smoking. It's tough but it's absolutely worth it. Be sure to use the tools and work through the workbook. Doing that was the single most helpful thing for me. As far as quitting on the first, I'm kinda wishing I had done that considering the big party the Jan 07 quitters are preparing for. :) Don't forget to keep reading and posting here. We're beside you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 126 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,780 Amount Saved: $737.10 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 7 Mins: 22 Seconds: 12
