Tutti is still smoke free. Yee Haw. I'm really proud of you guys too and you're helping me to keep going. WhyNot, I know what you mean. We'll be strolling along just fine and then we step in a hole, twisting our ankle sideways. ha ha ha Then here comes the crave. I got hit with a really bad one yesterday. I have three kids, they're all out on their own but my youngest, OH Lord help Me!!!! He tries us in every way he can and stays in trouble. He's 21 years old, time to be a man, and climb up out of that hole he dug for himself. I love him dearly, but everytime we help him, he goes right back to living a horrible lifestyle that I won't even get into right now. Anyway, he called yesterday and by the time I was off of the phone with him, I wanted to smoke so badly. But, I chewed a huge pack of bubble gum instead and drank liter after liter of water. It'll get better, huh? Huh? Huh? LOL Congratulations to everyone for hanging in there and doing such a graet job. It's hard work but imagine what our pension will be. ha ha ha ha ha Love you guys, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 18 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 836 Amount Saved: $54 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 19 Seconds: 27

Changing, that's it exactly. I feel tired, drained, and sad too with that underlying feeling of irritability. I'm not snapping at anyone...I just feel irritable. But this tired, drained, and sad feeling is miserable. I can handle cravings better than those feelings. At least I can identify those cravings and where they're coming from but I'm clueless as to why I'm feeling so zapped of energy and sad. I could cry too but I'm too tired to even do that. ha ha ha Phew!! This is really hard, isn't it!!!? Now it's like a vandetta to see just who's going to break...ME or the ADDICT in me. I have my money on ME!! Smoking is not an option for me either. This has become a battle of wills now between ME and the addict in me. Thank God I'm so competitive. ha ha Stay Strong With Me, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,123 Amount Saved: $86.16 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 15 Mins: 29 Seconds: 47

Hey Changing, YES!!! I'm having a rough time right now. I was feeling so much better but, straight out of left field, came more cravings. Not just cravings though but this feeling of being totally out of sorts, aggitated, cranky, disinterested in everything, sort of depressed, not motivated, and JUST NOT LIKE MYSELF AT ALL. I started feeling so blue and out of sorts that I didn't even want to read posts.....like I didn't have enough energy. When I saw your post, I wanted to answer you back since our Quit date is so close. Geesh, I know this is suppose to get better but I sure wish it would hurry up and do it. Man, I even had several days where I rarely thought of a cigarette or not at all. But the last two days, I've thought about them more and had more cravings. Today, I even went to get my ashtray and pack of cigarettes which have BEEN LONG GONE!! I walked halfway across the house and it hit me, "What the hell am I doing? I don't have cigarettes or an ashtray at all." Weird, weird, weird!! Oh, and I'm sort of foggy....like I'm having trouble concentrating. Are you feeling some of these things too? Maybe we're getting that 30 day slump early. You think? Hang in there with me. Okay? Hi Janie, I'm not sure what you mean by desperate. Do you mean that your body feels desperate for a smoke but your mind is saying, "No, Smoking Isn't An Option." Day 3 for me was horrible. It was so horrible that I typed a post that day and it's actually funny to read now. It WASN'T funny then. Here I am going into Day 10 but for the last two days, the cravings have been horrible. My mind is set on, "I'm a Non Smoker." Tonight, my husband misunderstood that I wanted some other kind of mint for this "hand to mouth" thing and thought I was wanting a pack of smokes. He was HALF listening to me!! He had a pack stashed that I knew nothing about. He had it just in case I went off the deep end and caved in. He tossed the pack to me and I immediately became outraged. I bellowed, "What the hell are you trying to do, blow my quit?! I'm a Non Smoker and don't ever bring cigarettes into this house again." (He doesn't smoke) I was walking towards him while I was yakking away, broke all of those cigarettes up in front of him, and handed them back to him. ha ha ha I felt so tough. ha ha ha ha It was so weird.....having two days of pretty hard cravings but when I saw that pack tonight, I was so angry. I didn't suffer throught Hell Week just to turn around and do it again. Did you? NO!!!! You're doing great, girl. We're right there together on our quit date. We can boost each other....deal? QuiltTrip, Pat, pat, pat, pat<------Me patting you on the back.....Yee Haw, you made it!! Congratulations on getting through "Hell Week." I'm so proud of you and you deserve a reward. We don't want to go through that week again do we?!!! You're doing great and I wouldn't have made it this far either without all of the folks on this site. Everyone is truly a Godsend. Great idea Niks. Count me In. Oh by the way, I did the math so wrong on the cigarettes I smoked. ha ha ha ha I had to update my meter with the actual amount of cigarettes I smoked per day. You drew my attention to that. It's still a whole lot though. Whynot, don't throw in the towel. You CAN do this. It's so hard but I know you can do it. Just keep talking to us, drink tons of water, and move around doing something when the crave hits. K?
