Be certain that this does get better. I have more good days than bad. It will pass, and the energy will come back. Keep up the good quit. Hi Susie, It most certainly does get better so don't panic :) At the beginning of your quit, it's perfectly normal to have a few good days and then a 'not so good day'. As time goes on, those 'not so good days' will get further and further apart. Changes are taking place in your body every single day ~ it's healing itself. Be patient and take things one day, one hour or one minute at a time. Give yourself a boost by rewarding yourself when you get through particularly difficult days/times. Try not to focus too much on the craves when they hit as it only makes things worse. By all means acknowledge the thoughts, but when they strike, go do something to distract to yourself. I promise you it will get better ~ be proud of your achievement, hold your head up high and just keep smiling And whatever happens ...... just don't smoke! Congratulations on those 31 days. Rachel :) Three years, two days, 20 hours, 25 minutes and 48 seconds. 21977 cigarettes not smoked, saving 4,944.83. Life saved: 10 weeks, 6 days, 7 hours, 25 minutes.
