shocking news and craving like crazy

hi everyone, my dad could sure use some prayers tonight. i just talked with my mom and she said that he had a mini stroke and that he is back in the hospital. the dr's ran all kinds of tests today to determine what caused it but at this point they haven't found anything. they think that a piece of the blood clot that was in the vein to his heart might have broke off and caused the stroke. his right side is very weak and he needs help to move around. i feel so helpless being so far away. i have been craving non stop for a couple hrs...wanting something to calm me down. i know intellectually that a smoke will not do any good, will not help me or benefit whatsoever. i was an emotional smoker so its no wonder that all theses feelings are causing cravings. thank you all for your support and especially kelly, who i've been talking with and she really helped me put things in perspective. i'll make a promise that i will NOT smoke tonight...no matter what! Star, good for you for realizing that those craves are just the junkie's pathetic attempt to take advantage of a difficult situation. Ba$tard junkie. Put all your energy into sending good thoughts to your dad, and taking care of yourself and your awesome quit. Don't give the junkie anything, he doesn't deserve it.
