Hi Rosey, Welcome and congratulations on your decision to quit !! You will be glad you did, not only for the $'s but, you will find so many other reasons as you go. Do yourself a huge favor and get rid of the smokes. Make it harder for you to smoke, not harder for you to stay quit. If you put time and distance between yourself and the "pack" you will have more time to reconsider taking that puff!! Have fun getting rid of them, like, tearing them into shreds, or crushing them with your car tire or let your dog wee on them but, just get them out of your house and out of your reach!! take care of yourself and hang on! You can do it!! Baby Coen and Rosey. It comes amazingly quickly - that feeling of it being normal not to smoke - and, what's more,it gives you such a buzz not to when the days start to tick by. Life is SO much easier when you don't smoke. Hi, Rosey, this is Day #3 for me without a cigarette. I have quit a zillion times before, but this will be the last time. I just wanted to share with you what got me through the first 2 days. When a craving hits and I really want a cigarette, I remind myself gently that it's not always going to feel weird being smoke free. I remind myself that it may be hard now, but someday it will get easier and it will be abnormal for me to smoke and being smoke free will be normal. I remind myself that every minute and every day is one step closer to that feeling. Hi Rosey! Welcome! If you're looking for tips and strategies, please work through the online quit program. It's very common to feel apprehensive and anxious on your first day. Remember though that you have nothing to lose and all to gain by quitting. We do recommend you rid your house of all smoking-related paraphernalia, especially if it poses a temptation to you. Keep close. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

Today is a good day, I finally have really set my mind to the fact that I have got to quit smoking, not only for health reasons but for economical reasons. I feel as if every hair is sticking up on the back of my neck. I have the patch on, but was considering putting one on the other arm!! lol A friend told me the first three days are the worse, so Im going to try everything I can to at least get through three days, I have a pack of cigs in there in the medicine cabinet I just cant bring myself to throwing them away. Hopefully by tonight I will find the courage to do so. Good luck to everyone who is in the same boat as I.. and ty for any suggestions. Rosey
