Smoke free in a ice storm!

16 years ago 0 3307 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Well Tom we are in the same boat. We lucked out and got very little ice, now we are waiting for the snow to happen. Everyone south of us are getting the ice. I am lucky, this didn't set of any triggers, yet :eg: but I know they could be lurking. For those of you who have never gone though an ice storm, count your blessing. They can be pretty, but when you see tree literally break apart while you watch is something else. So Tom stay inside where you are safe, watch some old movies, post, take a well deserved nap and be grateful you don't have to out in it. Stay safe and warm. Keep the Quit Sparky ps John W I know in are in the the middle of this ice are you okay? I know this can be seen as a shout out, but it would be nice to know if you John W. is safe. Tom, I love a snow day when you can stay home! Take advantage of the opportunity to do something good for yourself. You can do the "to-do" list if you want.....or take in a movie or watch daytime trashy TV like Jerry Springer and Dr. Phil! LOL! Or maybe just catch up on some sleep. Whatever you do, I'm sure you can manage to not smoke. With your numbers, I have no doubt you will be fine. Enjoy your day. Tom, I am sure that you're wife can provide a "honey do list" of things to keep you occupied for the day, especially this close to Christmas. (Or were you hoping to avoid that...LOL) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 281 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,025 Amount Saved: $2,964.55 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 7 Mins: 42 Seconds: 35

First time you've been icebound since you quit? There's your answer Tom! Many say that you have to do "The Vivaldi" (Four Seasons!) to get really comfortable with your quit. You'll deal with it. Your quit looks pretty comfortable to me! Good Luck Penitent d1302 :)

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I guess if one is not ready for winter by now (especially here) then trouble is on the horizon. We're getting what Chicago has been getting and it doesn't look good out there. Everything is coated with ice and they are telling everyone to stay off the roads. I was ready to go to work...and now an unexpected day off. And then boredom set in... Crave trigger! Where are these things coming from?
