I slipped ..... :(

Hi Jodi, I'm wondering if we should resent the fact that One more try thought we'd let her go. I think she'd better understand that we're all in this for the long haul. I expect to know how things are going for all Octobreathers for quite a long time. I'm also waiting to hear how sprquits is getting along. Of course you are still an Octobreather! We need you and you need us! I'm SO glad that you didn't bag it. Scary though. I'm sure you have learned what to watch out for in the future. Sometimes I wonder about people who were doing great, posting daily, and then all of a sudden you never hear from them again. It feels kind of like losing a friend. I'm glad we haven't lost you. I'm sure sprquits is doing well too. I bet we'll hear from her soon. Happy Birthday! One more try, Just remember that a slip is not a fall, so pick yourself up and get back on track. Learn from your mistakes and try to develop some new coping skills for the next time you are in a similar situation. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist

Goofy, as long as you are ok with it, that's all I need! Thank you for being so forgiving. I hope Sprquits is with us too. Maybe she's doing so well she doesn't need to check in as often. We are a strong bunch, aren't we? ;) I know there are more Octobreathers out there too. Maybe some have also slipped like me. It would be nice to hear I'm not the only one..... Gee......I don't know.... One more try, I think it would extremely selfish of the rest of the Octobreathers to exclude you from celebrating. You were my and sprquits strength through the roughest part of our quits. Anyone can go of track. Well those are my thoughts. One more thing..... I'd really like to stay with you guys...so, on Thursday, can I still celebrate my one month mark? Can I leave my quit meter? I mean, it was only one night....I think I smoked five cigarettes.....? Can I continue like it never happened? Am I still an Octobreather? :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 336 Amount Saved: $114.24 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 11 Seconds: 52

Stuff happens, dust yourself off and get right back in the game. There's no better time to do it than right now. Stay with us! I'm crushed! Well, not really. You almost made a full month! That's something to feel great about. I almost did the same thing Saturday while at a friends' house watching a football game. I ended up eating an entire bag of Doritos. I'm still hanging tough One more try, and I know that you can get it back together. I haven't seen a post from sprquits, I hope she's hanging in there as well. You can do it!! OK, I have to confess....I slipped on Friday. It was my birthday...I had a few drinks...I don't know what to say except I wasn't as strong as I thought. On a positive side, I felt like crap the next day...LOL! I had a serious "cigarette hangover"...well, ok, I had a regular hangover too. My old "friend", phlegm came for a visit and stuck around in the back of my throat for a day. I can say now that I have been reminded of how disgusting smokes really are. I have to admit, on Friday night, while I was out drinking, they were tasting really good. However, not so much the next day. But, this is it, I promise! My one and only slip! I will not do that again. I hope everyone else is doing alright. Especially Goofy and Sprquits, my fellow Musquiteers. You guys hanging in there?
