I've had near misses the past few months.
TOnight I had the classic anxiety attack, complet with the tingling and closed in feeling you get when your body starts its defense.
I used to get this all the time in high school.
Tonight, going to work I felt strange. I felt cautiously good, but something did not feel right. It was a stressful night and there are certain factors involved.
I am on valium only, as well as natural methods.
I was on prozac and triavil for 10 years and always had setbacks.
My factors are, it's November, which is the anniversary of my mother's deaths (November 13).
I also was awaken to the disgusting news coverage of Arafat with thousands of his supporters all over TV.
That agred me, being I am Jewish and all.
Then I had to work alone in my department, with about 5-6 other people needing stuff from me (I work for a newspaper.
So, I had OCD tonight and had taken 5 mg of valium before work. Around 7 p.m. I started to feel panicky. My mind would wonder and then I decided to take another 1/4 of a valium, which my prescription allows, then I had the classic anxiety attack, which I mentioned earlier where you feel closed in and tingly.
But it was not as bad as in the past. I was actually quite relieved because I no longer felt tense or panicky.
So, in a way, that feeling is a good thing, but it's also scary because it's a chemical thing your body does for protection.
Anyone have anything to add?
I am home now and well and ready for bed.
