Thanks for the nice words to all of you!
It's so nice to be able to look back at where I've come from, and see so many folks barreling right up behind me.
When I started this journey all those days ago, the path ahead seemed so very barren and bleak. It seemed like it had to be all uphill (And I sure was out of breath!) and hard and insurmountable.
How amazing that now when I look back, what I see is all downhill. :) The path wasn't bleak at all but rather it was just filled with hope and promise and health.
It wasn't barren, but full of people right there every step of the way to help me along, holding my hand when I needed it and even carrying me. Heck, a few even kicked me when I actually needed it. :)
I can look back and not remember at all what that view looked like from the start, simply because I see so much clearer now.
So with the heartfelt stuff out of the way...
I've found I have a mild case of asthma now. Luckily, it's VERY mild. Hell, I hardly even use my inhaler like I'm supposed to - it's just a 2x per day deal rather than an emergency sort, I'm not that bad. I can PROMISE you I would be in a lot worse stage if I'd kept or even still smoked, so thank God for that huh?
I've been getting out a good deal and riding my bike and walking and everything. I've gotten back into taking lots of pictures outdoors. I doubt I'm allowed to post my flickr page here even though it doesn't have my real name but the folks can be sticky about that. I'm not that hard to find there though, ;) Sadly, I'm number 2 when it comes to photography.
Doodles: Trust me. You'll have 19 months before you know it. Seriously. It's amazing how it happens. Look at you with 90+ days. What amazes me is that it's close to 2 THOUSAND not smoked. Just think about that! 2 THOUSAND of them!! That's a continuous mile and a half of cigs not smoked. Seriously, I've done the math. lol
Sally: I'll give you all the encouragement you need, everyone will. You are already off to a great start. You are already closing in on a month. Think about it! A MONTH smoke free? 30 days ago, would you have really it would be that far already?
Lori: First off, I just have to say, I love that line - I don't know what day it is but it must be a Tuesday. That is such a great line. Full of joy and silliness and exactly the sort of mindset that got me through it. And yes, not only will it be a Tuesday but it's around 2:25 in the afternoon, right when you are at that point in the afternoon when the bees buzz and the flowers start to really put on a show. And there will be a party! You'll be there before you know it.
And to Ter, Lori and Danielle - thank you all for helping me get here and hooray!
Chirpily,
B
