I went to the flea market bought some stuff and with all the crowds there this group of about4 4 stabbbed a young guy in the neck and kept running. I was 10 ft. away. I never had a smoking thought just wheres the paramedics? It wasn't a bad stab. Are there good ones? but it was right by his carotid artery whew. Security said they ran to the parking lot. That's where I went to get in my car and go home. At least they have security with binoculars in towers out there. Just another day in sunny california, now it's cloudy and cold ...well probably around 58. Yea me! Got a Kings shirt ( sacramento Kings basketball) for my poo. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 113 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 904 Amount Saved: $226.00 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 13 Mins: 50 Seconds: 31

Way to hang in, Sparky. You know you're tough & you're strong. Once the weekend is over, you will have crushed another trigger and you can be so proud of yourself. Holiday weekends seem to bring out strong urges. I have been saying all of your junkie thoughts since Thursday. As if that isn't enough, my dreams are filled with smoking thoughts as well. Thanks for the great thread..I will come back to this all day if necessary. Take good care :) love, sally My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 380 Amount Saved: $85.50 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 9 Mins: 10 Seconds: 51

I hope that your weekend can be filled with joy Sparky. The joy of knowing that you have climbed high on the mountains and the plateau is in range. Say Sparky, get yourself busy today, have a great weekend and keep yourself away from the smoking stuff, out of harms way. Use the distractions that have worked so well for you ,and remember why have quit and why you aim to stay quit. Right them down and recite them, Sparky! Sparkey, I feel the same way today. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. because I was itching all over. Must be the shower gel. I got up had coffee a waffle and kept wanting a cig. It's not my first Thanksgiving smoke free, last year I was 9 mos. into a quit. Maybe its the movie Hollywoodland I watched last night. Everyone smoked so much I thought I could even smell it. Good movie. Well I'm going to flea market soon. Lots of walking and they don't sell cigs there you posted great tips for self talk. We will overcome. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 113 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 904 Amount Saved: $226.00 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 12 Mins: 53 Seconds: 3

Hi Sparky! I had some increased thoughts of smoking this weekend also. I was also more emotional than usual. Boy, this quitting smoking thing sure has a lot of twists and turns, doesn't it? You're tough. I have no doubt that you will make it thru but I do understand your frustration. Have a better day, Sparky. Maybe do something for yourself that is relaxing. Whatever you want to do! :) Btw, I often feel like I have lost my marbles. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,730 Amount Saved: $532.35 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 3 Mins: 45 Seconds: 49

Hang in there Sparky! Junkie's trying your patience yet again? Yell at her if need be. STOP IT! SMOKING IS NOT AN OPTION! You are bigger than the crave, You are the one in control! You are the one calling the shots, not that little cigarette! Smoking won't help anything and you know it! There is a full moon today so watch out for strange happenings. But be on guard! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 264 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,600 Amount Saved: $2,785.20 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 6 Mins: 16 Seconds: 41

Sparky, sorry you are going through this. It's your first Thanksgiving without the smokes, every first time without smoking brings back some kind of Junkie thinking. Reward yourself today, exercise, go for a long walk, change your routine and it'll pass, ask Mr Kitty to help you!!!! Hope you feel better one day at a time Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 529 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,993 Amount Saved: $3,438.50 Life Gained: Days: 70 Hrs: 6 Mins: 9 Seconds: 58
