Hey Bear, when we were smokers, did we not loose all sense of temperature? It could be -20 and we could justify standing out and smoking, and even saying, is it not nice and brisk out? Could we not, as smokers, convince ourselves and those around us that it was a healthy thing to stand out in the elements and take in fresh air (have a smoke!)? I love not smoking now and I do not miss having to hang out and torture myself in inclimate weather. Go for it Bear if you wish to be part of the Polar Club. I would love to see pictures!! But, as non smokers, we can now hang out in the comfort of the indoors all we want and only go out to gather fire wood!! Kev we were the ultimate hard core smokers. Heck we go skinny dipping in this kind of weather. That is pretty amazing. I love hearing how you guys cope. Don't the cows go inside for winter? I'd have thought -47 was too cold for anything living that didn't have a huge layer of fur. I'm guessing that you guys don't have an 'only smoking outside' policy then? I would think you would not have anyone smoking in a couple of years..OK, I know there are hardcore smokers who would smoke whatever the temperature. Kev, I'm sure tam has some horror stories about cold temps, but when I was living up North, I went out to check cows one night & the temp was -47 on the thermometer, so not counting wind chill. Now, THAT is too cold to smoke! It's 6c over here (Portsmouth England) and it is too cold for me to smoke I would think but I shan't try just in case it isn't. :) Those crazy Canadian temperatures..I'd have thought that your lips would freeze together at that temperature. Heaven knows what happens if you take a leak (or a leek :) ) outside! I'd still love to go there though once I get over my fear of travelling.
