one year today i stopped smoking
i cannot believe i have gone this far.
I was a smoker for 32 years on 20 a day and needed to help myself and i did.
i still have to take it day by day as its still difficult.
i used patched for the first month and from then on cold turkey.
i am so proud of myself but i have to keep positive the nicodeman still comes around from time to time.
i have only put half a stone on as well , as i have taken care not to substitute food for the cigarette's . I will get rid of the extra pounds when i'm ready.
i do not want to join the brigade of smokers outside the pubs , clubs and office blocks etc ,its embarrassing and undignified.
i have cried through frustration ,gotten angry ,walked a lot just to calm down.
i am a woman of 48 years but look a tad younger . After three months of none smoking my skin looked fantastic , someone i know well took me to one side and asked me if I'd had collagen injections in my face as she had noticed a difference (not the only person to notice as it turned out) great eh girls.
i dont have to change my cloth's as often and i smell a lot sweeter.
i wish i had never started smoking in the first place and i would not have had to go through this horrid feeling of withdrawl.
Come on you lot out there , keep it up....thinking of you all....
cheers.......tina.....
