Unhooked, thats the funniest term I have ever heard. I think I shall be using that a lot on my sister when Grace does what is natural :) Blue Cloud, I'd never really thought of it that way. You see, I always proclaimed that it was because I smoked that I was never ill (in a 'general cold' kind of way, also known as 'man-flu'). I know quite a few smokers who think that way too, so for once it wasn't me being weird. Yet another junkie trick to protect the potential quitter from quitting maybe? Possibly one that is passed around between avid smokers? 'You don't want to quit mate, you'll get ill'. I shall add 'stronger at fighting off enemy germs' as one of the plusses of quitting that I forgot about. I'll let it slowly seep into my subconcious. Good on yer for challenging my junkie ingrained thoughts. Mmmwwwahh. On the health side of things, it seems that since I quit, I have had nervous dispepsia (or that has what has been diagnosed by my family). Given that I am not hiding or masking anything by smoking I think it is only expected. I'd rather have constant burps than smoke. Theres always the chance that it may eventually go away (looking on the bright side). Next time you are at a restaurant and the person on the next table starts burping loudly and uncontrollably, ask him if he's just quit smoking :) Hope you like my little coffee time story. My little joke for the day (story related) : Is a dispeptic someone who burps letters in the wrong order? :) HUGS from Kev ps. still looking on the bright side of life and still JFDI ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,250 Amount Saved: 546.00 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 7 Mins: 6 Seconds: 59

You're doing great, Kev. I hope you don't get sick but if you do, oh well, you'll get over that, too. Into every life, a little puke & poop must fall. I hope your mom recovers soon, and I'm so happy that little Grace is doing well. Deb, glad to be of service. I like cheering up people. Sometimes I don't even realise it. Congrats on completing hell week, and your nearly through with heck week too! Tresa, yep YUK! Its nickname is the 'Winter vomiting virus'. I wish it was replaced by the 'winter loving virus'. Much more productive. My insane paranioa is getting on my dads nerves and I have now quaruntined myself to my own room. The norovirus is officially in the house as I was woken up by mum feeling the particularly nasty effects at 11pm last night. Given that she was serving us food last night it means the likelyhood of me and dad now having it is very high. The great news though is that I now have my sister back, with husband in tow and a lovely little Grace. Unhooked, I will take photos you can be sure of that. I'll always listen to you btw, you can count on that too. But you know the deal, keep trying because it eventually makes sense to even junkie kev. It can take a long time for me to think straight as you know. I'll write a bit more when I feel a bit better. I have loads to write of my non smoking experiences. As much as I am dentophobe, I don't want going down with norovirus to be an excuse. But I also don't want to give my dentist and his beautiful assistant it as it very contagious. I think I may have to get my mum to cancel. Gonna play it by ear. I keep reminding myself 'at least it is not ebola' ! Hi Kev, Your whole family is going through the wringer, and yet you still manage to be hilarious. Love you for that. I'm glad Grace is doing so well, but sorry to hear about your sis and her hubby. Thanks for making me smile (a feat I was pretty sure was impossible today). Penitent, Got some great news in that Grace will likely be dischaged tomorrow providing she seems ok off the antibiotics. They leave it for 24 hours just to make sure. I'm really happy about that as her mum (my sis) has got the norovirus, which makes you projectile vomit from both ends...and by proxy so has my sisters husband. It is very very very easily spread, and hospitals and boats are notorious for it. Get an outbreak..and it spreads like ...a virus. Now I am hypochondriac at the best of times. So have been trying to avoid anyone who has been to a hospital. My dad is fine and so is my mum ..so far. Now my norovirused up sis and husband if they do come out are, coming straight here. So the good is that I may finally see my niece and the bad is that I am acting like a nutter and planning to put everyone in quaruntine! At least I am a non smoking dentophobe hypochondriac. :) I've just done my niece her very first CD. :) Btw, I always wondered what was in your avatar too. I guessed it was an outdoor changing room somewhere or a place to wait for boats to arrive. Just wanna say hi to everyone. I may switch back to weekly threads again at some point, just to keep you on your toes :) HUGS from Kev My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,200 Amount Saved: 537.60 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 1 Mins: 50 Seconds: 47
