Extreme Tension ..

Thank you Mara and Rhonnie for your replies=) Mara, I have felt that exact same thing! That loose neck feeling where I too feel like I need to hold my head up with my hands. I do neck stretches at work and I find that if you get a massage cream with St.Johns Wort and have someone rub it into your neck, that helps alot too. I know Bath and Body Works makes one. I also bought a vibrating neck massager. Thanks again for the support ladies! Hope you're having a great day! :)

K~ Thank you so much for asking the question about the neck probs. I have had attacks on and off for about 4 years and am going through a bad spell right now...and the neck tension is a new one to me. Last night it was so bad I actually felt that if I did not hold up my head with my hands that it would just go limp. Then that sent my in to a irrational loop in my head like "maybe it is some rare muscle atrophy thing, or I am having a stroke, or...(on and on)." Then that made the attack that much worse. At the time it just did not dawn on me that it was part of the attack itself. I will look into some stretching techniques. Take care and best wishes.

Hi Kristy sometimes it feel like my neck is going to roll off my head!! I have a lot of jaw pain as well. You're right about the stretching and relaxation tapes work as well. I've heard yoga is great for this so that's my next step. Take Care

Hi Everyone, Do any of you ever experience such bad tension in your head and/or neck that you feel like your neck is going to snap? I get that alot, esp. this week. I also squeeze my eyes shut really tight because they feel so strained. I try to do stretches and I also work out when I get home, but it still seems to come on. My jaw also cracks alot too. :( Kristy
