Goofy, do not give in! You made it through last night, right? And your wife too? Just think of how much an accomplishment that is! That is awesome and also a little bit of a milestone right there. Today you should celebrate. I know you are saving your money for your vacation. Maybe pull out some pictures and look at them with your wife. Think about that place and how great you will feel when you get there. I am so happy that you and your wife made it through the night without smoking. I think maybe quitting together may be more difficult because it's double the torture and double the crankiness. I don't know....but if you can both do it, just think how amazing that would be.
As for me, I am still hanging in there. I am not very happy with my husband for no good reason. He is still smoking, and I am feeling resentful towards him and he irritates me all the time. I know this is not a great thing for our marriage, but I have to tell myself this is temporary. I hope I start feeling happier soon. Someone on this site (I don't remember who?) said the anger should pass after the first month. If that's true, we've only got three weeks to go. A long time, maybe, but it will come to an end.
Oh, and do you want to hear about something that happened to me yesterday? I was so looking forward to yoga class and I went. Well, the class is sometimes very crowded and yesterday was one of those days. So, this guy came in at the last minute and set up right beside me, in my yoga space! I was not happy about that. I absolutely hate doing yoga too close to other people. So, that made me angry. And just to make matters worst, he had garlic breath! I mean, really bad garlic breath! And if you know anything about yoga, you know that you breath in through your nose and out through your mouth! Ok, this may seem a little funny now, but yesterday it completely ruined my yoga class and I was very angry. Then I came home and complained to my husband. Poor guy.
