Romantic Thoughts about smoking reall means....

If I smoked I'd be coughing 24/7. Every time I laid down I'd cough myself up. If I smoked, I would take a break from work now and then, go outside and clear my head for a minute. If I smoked my concentration would be better. If I smoked I'd feel like I was throwing my money away on nothing. If I smoked, the dogs wouldn't like me as much they wouldn't like the smell. If I smoked I'd lose weight. If I smoked I wouldn't be able to breathe when I'm on the treadmill at the gym and my heart rate would be through the roof. If I smoked the shop would stink unbearably. Go back to smoking. I doubt it. I'd have to fugure out a way to breathe and smoke at the same time. If I was back smoking????? I would have a daily headache, bad cough, a grey wrinkled face, and a ball and chain tied to my leg to drag me outside every half hour for a smoke. And whats to go back to that was so good? Nothing, notta, no way, no how, none, nix, naught and NOPE! I prefer the fresh breath in my nose and lungs, the clearness of my brain and the clearness of my skin, and the Freedom of being a non smoker. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 239 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,975 Amount Saved: $2,521.45 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 4 Mins: 51 Seconds: 5

I would be a stinking wrinkled up old lady who never had company because nobody wants to walking away smelling like an ashtray. Except maybe the hospice nurse. EEEEWWW, bad thoughts. Thank God I Quit. I would be cheating myself out of living a life of true quality. I would be disappointing myself and I would be disappointing my loved ones. I am so much happier now that I am nonsmoker!! If I smoked, I would be sad and depressed and constantly wishing I had the strength to quit for just one day because if I could quit for one day I could quit forever...again. That's how I spent the last eight years of my life. I certainly don't want to spend the next eight that way. I think it would break my spirit if I started to smoke again. I have thoughts daily about smoking and I always tell myself "You can't loose what you have fought so hard to get" Self confidence. I know that I don't have to smoke. I know that I don't want to smoke. I don't want an addiction telling me what to do again. If I started smoking again, I would have less energy, be less available for my kids, miss out on a lot of fun times, get sick from some smoking-realted disease (pick one of the dozens) & die an unhappy woman. Not doing that. my reminder is very close in my friends and co-worker Fred. His birthday is today. The DR's can no longer treat him, and hospice has been called. We just called him to wish him a happy birthday, he couldn't speak to us because his vocal cords are gone. Fred is dying because he smoked, he is only 45 years old.
