Sparkwins, you are off to a great start. It is going to get better. You just have to deep breath and power through the first couple of weeks and then you will start to see the difference. Give it time. Believe in yourself and know you want to quit. The Power is yours to take. Starve the nicodemon out. Sparkwins! Take some slow deep breaths, and slow everything down for a few moments! If you can, go for a walk by yourself and just relax and calm down. You don't want to smoke, you have been thru the worst and you don't want to go back! Smoking is not an option, you are going to have come up with something else to occupy your time. Now get a big glass of very cold water and drink it, and if need be get a straw or stir stick and use that as a fake cigarette! There! Tahts better. You can do this. It is mind over matter and you will beat that little cigarette, it has no power over you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 228 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,700 Amount Saved: $2,405.40 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 22 Mins: 14 Seconds: 44

Sparkwins - you hottie you standing in front of that car --- are you going to let those nasty little pieces of paper rule you? No, of course not! I LIVED for smoking - I couldn't wait until break time when I worked and the drive home and the eau de smoke in my car...but it GETS BETTER! I promise. Just keep reading, keep posting - keep believing in yourself. When you start seeing those numbers rack up on your mileage you will be so glad you didn't cave! Hang tough! Sparkwins, It's time to change the way you spend your time on your breaks. This is an association you have with smoking. The more you practice the new habit and forget about the old one, easier it gets. Ideas to help you get started: * Drinking ice water, taking a quick stroll, playing a computer game Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist
