    Cigarettes Not Smoked

17 years ago 0 53 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi all!!! I haven't been able to post in a while - I have been so busy!!! This new job is requiring more hours than I'm used to. But I'm hanging in and I'm doing it without a cigarette. I have experienced many symptoms. Mostly, the cravings, and they after work. I find myself coming out after a night there and thinking "I sure could use a cigarette", calling people has helped, so I can talk about what is driving my stress vs smoking it away. I just keep remembering not being able to breath, and I remind myself of everything I'm going through now and I will only go through it once. I got my sense of smell back for about a week or so, and it's gone again. I smell and taste this charred smoky taste and smell quite a bit. My nose is congested, I don't feel like a sinus problem or a cold or flu, I'm just all congested. I am coughing less, and not bringing up that icky stuff. I am using the inhaler more, but not as much as when I first quit, instead of four hours, it is more like when I get up in the AM. That is another thing, why is it in the AM I still feel like I smoked a pack? I mean it goes away, but everything feels as if I had smoked. I am guessing it is all a part of the quit. I'm going strong though, and I am proud of myself. My partner is still smoking but she has cut down tremondously. Okay - enough of this chapter. I will check in again.
