John, I agree that while the quitters' database is not foolproof, I would hope that anybody who has got any sort of benefit from the site would be good enough to let me know if they had lapsed. I also take your point that there are a lot of older quitters who do not access this site any more and there is no way of me knowing whether they are still quit. When I started this, it was intended to be a positive initiative and I felt it would help. I think that I have 3 options: Only include those who have posted in the last n days (though this would take a huge amount of effort) Carry on as I have Stop doing it Any opinions out there? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 577 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 17,310 Amount Saved: 4,327.50 Life Gained: Days: 92 Hrs: 18 Mins: 0 Seconds: 38

Although I really appreciate what you are tryin to do I feel that it is necessary for people to be active on this board for it to work. If they are active we will see them and plan a reward. I'm thinking that auto posting congrats to everyone who signed up may include thos who have slipped. Then they would feel shame to come back in or maybe they are no longer active since they started smoking again.
