Cat, Just to clear it up..chantix has no nicotine in it, it works on brain receptors :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 204 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,160 Amount Saved: $1,387.20 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 12 Mins: 39 Seconds: 23

Hi Peanuts! I don't know nothing about Chantix... I quitted cold turkey... And I don't have so many days as you without smoking.... But I do know that I almost don't have any cravings now... So I think that when you get no nicotine on your body (I'm assuming that Chantix has some...) after a while step at a step day at a day your cravings will lessen! With all these days you already have you've been learning to socialize and do your life without the cigarrette on your hands. That's pretty hard to re-educate yourself, your hands and your socialization! I'm still learning that!!! So you have that part on advance! So I bet you'll get better now when you stop chantix and face those first days by yourself! I also bet you'll have extra self-confidence wich will help you through all the process after that! :) And specially I think you should think positive on your quit until now (71 days IT'S PRETTY AMAZING!!!!!!) AND start feeling and thinking positive about your quit!!! :) That'll help I think.. At least it helps me to think I'm doing something great to me and my self! I'm treting myself well, caring and loving! :) good luck!!!!!! AND BE POSITIVE! :) Kisses, Cat PS - Excuse me for the all mistakes!!!! Hi Peanuts I was a chantix user too. I am sure you eat when you take it and drink plenty of water, right? I found chantix to be very helpful, and coming here to this site was my other major strategy...learned a lot, have gotten lots of support. Hope to see you again -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 204 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,160 Amount Saved: $1,387.20 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 12 Mins: 37 Seconds: 59

Hey Peanuts, things will get better I promise. It really helps though if you juggle your routine around a bit. It throws the junkie off alot! :) Hang in there! This is my 71st. day smoke-free. I am waiting for the cravings to let up, for the fatigue to lessen, and for regular sleep to return. I am on Chantix, but my Dr. put me on half-dose because the nausea was awful. The best thing I can report is that I have not smoked for 71 days and thought that I never could accomplish this. I just need someone to tell me that things will get better!
