That is very clever Kelly! :) Yep. I promise not to smoke today. Especially on Aloha's celebration day. I'm going to keep myself occupied by thinking up a 90 day playlist. Hey there, Kev! I'm so glad you liked the playlist! I thought they were pretty good selections and I'm glad you agree. Time to put that junkie in check (see...clever kelly, uh huh). You can't smoke on Aloha's celebration day! Monday's are acceptable days to start smoking either. They just aren't. Soooooo.... I promise not to smoke today. You? Hi there Aloha. How's your day celebrations going? Not doing the walking during the weekdays but try and do it when I am not on call during the weekends. Last weekend I was on call which didn't help. So this weekend I plan to pound out that junkie. It does make me feel a lot better. I imagine it is a bit like bodyboarding without getting wet .. unless it is raining :) The NOMANS phase is driving me loopy to be honest. Which is why I haven't been writing too much (the junkie me is often in control for past two weeks). Nobody really wants to read streams of junkie thinking and I always attempt to concentrate on the positive. When at home and on pager I have to resort to different techniques that doesn't include going for long walks etc. The essential oil stuff works because it slows me down a lot and hence does the same to my junkie thinking. Playing chess online has helped tremendously too. One pure hard fight against junkie thinking and junkie vision. Can you believe I am actually craving right now whilst I write this?! I am not going to give up yet. I am exhausted from all this mental fighting and want to sleep badly (despite sleeping a lot during the weekend), but I am sure I still have some fight left in me. OK, I am going to shut up now. This probably my way of saying 'don't worry to much if I fall silent'. It probably means I am sleeping or fighting. Anything else and I will post. Especially if I get a break in the junkie thinking to allow for a burst of positivity. See you soon. Lots of hugs from Kev My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 88 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,200 Amount Saved: 369.60 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 1 Mins: 24 Seconds: 39

Thanks Kev And good on the preps at work...warning them shows you really do want to be quit more than you want to smoke. You'll get through this bump in the road and it will be much smoother again soon. Are you walking???? I promise you I will not smoke today! Hi All, Short one from me today. Aloha, congrats on double century!! Biiiiiig hugs from Kev. I always knew you could do it! Sue, WOW! I hope I don't let you down. Just in case, there some new quitters that look like a good bet :) Lizzie, nice to meet you! I love that doggie pic. Standing guard, watching the sea come in. Maybe in time there will be less smokers here. Where I live is way higher than the national average. And especially for girls. Something about having small babies?! They're trying different ways to combat that attitude. 40 is the new 30 btw. Tresa, I'd never have thought of that. Cool idea. Unhooked, you have a very wise friend. Yes it has been a very rough weekend. Another one in no mans land and another one where I have had to throw everything I could possibly think of at it. I can say that you won't find a cleaner person around after the number of patchouli baths I have had this weekend!! I will reach 90 days if it is the very last thing I ever do. The upside of the weekend was that I was able to purchase kelly's playlist and am loving it! Thanks for the choices Kelly!! Quite a rawkus mix for a young lady. :) I'll report in regularly while I can. So. I promise that I did not smoke last weeked (a promise after the occasion!) and I promise that I will not smoke today. I am telling my smoking friends that No Man's Land isn't this bad for all quitters and that I should be considered a worst case scenario. Also to not accept a quid for a cigarette even though it seems like a good way to make money (in case I ask). WOOHOO!! Kev!! I knew you could do it & now you do, too! What you are btw, is a nicotine addict who doesn't do nicotine. Or, as my friend says, a smoker who doesn't smoke. Kev, awesome news. It is the power of positive thinking luv and faith. I totally believe you are a success. I feel it, I see it and I believe it. Good on you last night, your narrative was excellent - I was there with ya!! I miss british pubs, Marks and Sparks, Cadbury's, so many things. (pout) Walk tall this weekend and be proud :) xo Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 155 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,550 Amount Saved: $271.25 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 18 Mins: 4 Seconds: 3
