Hi there,
I also used Chantix to quit smoking. I have been quit almost 6 months now, have to say that Chantix was a HUGE help!
Everyone reacts differently to medication, and with that said, everyone will act different when they come off the medication. I took the Chantix for about 6 weeks. I took it week 1 and 2 like it says to take it.. On week 3 I cut the dose in half, 1 pill in the AM, because I couldn't handle the side affects... I took it that way for another 3 weeks. When it came time to refill I decided that I would try to not take it.. seeing as it was 100.00 for a refill. I told myself that if I had ANY problems I would take it again. I had literally no problems... The first few days I may have had a few more cravings, but nothing that I couldn't handle... BUT, like I said before.. everyone is different... Also, I did speak with my doctor about it before I went for it...
You can do this.. take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time.. heck, one second at a time if you have to. This is the best thing you could do for yourself and you will feel soooo much better really soon!!!!
Take care and keep up the quit!
